Voice Mail Messages

You can get your voice mail messages from either your TFCA email, your TFCA phone, or another phone such as your cell phone.

From TFCA Email

The Avaya system will send your voice mail to you as an email attachment. Clicking on the attachment will open an app that will play the voicemail. While this is very convenient, listening to your voicemail messages via email, does not clear off the message from your phone line. Those need to be deleted separately.

From your TFCA Phone

  • Press the [Message] button.
  • Press the [Listen] softkey.
  • Use the navigation arrows to highlight the option you want:
    • [New…] to retrieve new messages that have not been listened to.
    • [Old…] to retrieve messages that have been listened to but not saved.
    • [Saved…] to retrieve messages that have been saved previously.
  • Press the [OK] button.
  • Press the [Play] softkey.
  • Softkey options available while listening to a message:
    • [Pause] the message playing.
    • [Call] the number associated with the message.
    • [Back] to go back to the Listen menu.
    • [More] toggles between the two menus of softkeys
    • [Delete] the message playing.
  • Press the [Phone] button to get back to the main screen.

From another phone

  • Dial your TFCA phone number.
  • When you hear your voice mail greeting, press *7.
  • You will then hear the Avaya IP Office system greeting, “Welcome to the Avaya IP Office. For help at any time, press *h…”.
  • Enter your extension and the # key.
  • Enter password and the # sign.
  • The system will then inform you if you have any messages. Follow the prompts to retrieve the messages.
