Using the Back 40 Sound System

Here’s a quick guide for handling the sound system and stage setup. See photo below for reference.

Using the PA System

•    To use the sound system, turn on the speakers using the switch on the back of each speaker.
•    When you’re done, turn the speakers off the same way.
•    Do not turn off the mixer in the closet.

Using the Wireless Mic

•    Take the mic from its charging station in the closet next to the stage.
•    Turn it on using the switch on the mic. Place it on the podium stand or use as a handheld.
•    When finished, turn it off and return it to the charging station.

After the Event

•    Return the podium and mic stand to the center of the stage.
•    Place all other microphone and music stands neatly off to the side. Keyboard stays in place.
•    Neatly coil all audio cables (except those connected to the keyboard) and store under the stage or hang on the hooks on the metal trusses (see picture).
