Starting an Impromptu Meeting
There are a couple of ways to get an impromptu meeting going.
From Outlook
- Open your calendar
- Click on the Meet Now icon.
- This will bring up The Choose your video and audio options screen
- Set your desired parameters
- Click Join Now.
From Teams
- Click on the Calendar button on the left-hand side menu.
- Click on the Meet now button in the upper, right-hand corner.
- Give your meeting a title.
- Click the Start meeting button.
- This will bring up The Choose your video and audio options screen.
- Set your desired parameters.
- Hit Join Now.
Inviting People
- Click on the People icon in the top menu.
- Start typing the name of the person in the Invite someone or dial a number box on the right-hand side. Hover your cursor over the person's name when the system finds a match.
- Click on the Request to Join button that appears.
- Another option is to Click the Share invite button. This will give you the option to share the meeting link either with a meeting link or an email.
To rejoin the same meeting, look for the meeting in your chat list and select Join.
Starting a meeting within a channel
- Choose the channel you want to meet in from the list.
- Click on the Posts tab.
- look for the camera icon in the upper, right-hand corner and click on the downward pointing caret.
- From the drop-down, select Meet now.
- Give your meeting a title.
- Click the Start meeting button.
- This will bring up The Choose your video and audio options screen.
- Set your desired parameters.
- Hit Join Now.
